About Larrisa
Larrisa’s legal career began long before she decided to pursue her law degree. She started working as a Law Clerk at a prominent boutique law firm in Toronto specialized in plaintiff personal injury matters in 2003. Since then, she has worked for several prominent law firms specialized in plaintiff and defence personal injury matters. She obtained an Immigration Practitioner Certificate with high honours from Seneca College in 2005, and was the first cohort of Licensed Immigration Consultant recognized by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada in 2006. Following which, Larrisa has represented individual and corporate clients on their applications for temporary and permanent residence to the CIC, and appeared as counsel for applicants on their appeals and hearings at the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Larrisa has two decades of experience in civil litigation and Canadian immigration law matters. She is passionate about advocating for her clients. She has appeared before different levels of courts including the License Appeal Tribunal, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, Divisional Court and Court of Appeal.
Larrisa is fluent in written and oral English and Chinese – Cantonese and Mandarin. Larrisa believes that clear communication with the client is central to the role of a lawyer and she takes care to ensure that her clients understand the nuances of their case from the very beginning.
